Hi. I’m Michael. Welcome to my site.
When I was a child, I wasn’t interested in playing games. I invented them. I wanted to understand the background mechanics, how it worked, the cogs no one looked at.
That translated into a career as an industrial process analyst at the largest cannery in the southern hemisphere, designing factory management software when it didn’t exist.
That led to becoming a travelling IT consultant in America. Hotels, suitcases, rental cars. It was there I became addicted to porn—and used my process analysis skills to resolve the addiction.
Most porn addiction therapies are fixated on stopping you looking at the images. This is symptom management. Instead, I disassembled the addiction into its component parts. Once its emotional mechanics were clear, so was the underlying cause. This is root-cause resolution.
When I deconstructed my addiction, I uncovered my shame.
When I deconstructed my shame, I uncovered a raft of family traumas.
And I found that trauma operates on entirely mechanical lines. It forms under specific conditions and, equally, releases when the conditions for its release are met. Trauma and other unconscious issues are governed by precise principles and processes. When you understand them, you know where you have leverage to resolve an issue and where you don’t.
That understanding is what I bring to the table. I teach you the emotional mechanics of unconscious issues then guide you through the inner work necessary to access and release them.
It isn’t easy. Most people prefer symptom management methodologies. If you’re ready for the deep work, you’ve come to the right place.
Bringing the unconscious to light
I’ve spent the last quarter of a century bringing the unconscious to light. I’ve healed deep damage and gained extraordinary insight into inherited trauma, shame, and badly wounded male sexuality in particular. Increasingly, that healing and understanding has translated into helping my clients.
I have appeared on several podcasts and online events.
The Afro Ndiritu Podcast ep. 10 “How Porn Addiction Ruined My Life and Helped Me Rediscover Myself” (not my title!)
No More Desire ep. 134 with Jake Kastleman
In 2026 I co-founded the Ancestral Healing Center with fellow Trauma-Informed Genealogy practitioners Ruschelle Khanna, LCSW and Bernadette Thompson.
