Private Zoom coaching sessions for root cause identification and resolution of trauma, inherited trauma, mother wound, shame and psychosexual issues
Principles & processes
My one-to-one work is founded on the principle ‘that which you make conscious cannot remain unconscious’.
The unconscious is home to all our fears, phobias, fetishes, fantasies, addictions, and traumas; repressed desires, buried longings for compensation or revenge for all our hurts, real or perceived—all shrouded in a fog of shame and denial. While they remain unaddressed, they seep out and poison our lives in ways little and large.
Root cause resolution of these issues requires bringing the unconscious to light.
Once we gain a sufficient—and sufficiently correct—understanding of an issue, it must become conscious.Once conscious it can be worked with and reparented.
“Michael illuminates the entire situation in ways that are understandable and actionable. He jet-fueled my healing.”
— Gail McKee Acworth, GA, United States
While unconscious issues are not directly visible—the clue is in the name—they follow rigid principles and processes of energetic and emotional mechanics. Most of us spend our lives fighting uselessly against these unseen principles. When we understand the principles, we can consciously work with them to achieve resolution.
What to expect in a 1-2-1 session with Michael
The aim of my session work is twofold:
- The correct mental understanding of the situation you’re experiencing
- The correct emotional attitudes/actions/inactions to align with the underlying principles and processes to bring about root cause resolution
Some clients prefer to do part 1 (mental understanding) in the session and part 2 (emotional processing) separately, perhaps alone or with someone physically present. Others do both within a session, meaning that feelings of grief, rage, or pain may arise at any moment. Either is fine. Tears are a sign of progress.
Sometimes ‘a-ha’ moments occur during sessions, sometimes later after reflecting and processing the experience.
“[This course] really shifted the way I see genealogy and trauma as a whole. What you and your team are doing is such meaningful and beautiful work, and I’m truly grateful.”
— Raphaella Silva, GA, United States
I may take notes during a session, but I don’t keep permanent records. I don’t record sessions but they can be recorded at your choice.
Possible outcomes
Many surprising outcomes are possible from bringing the unconscious to light. Broadly speaking, these can be divided into mental, emotional, and physical (observable in the external world) events.
Here are some actual outcomes; the list is by no means exhaustive.
Mental changes:
- Discovering events your family narrative was ashamed of
- A more truthful telling of your family narrative
- Reframing stuck issues in a more compassionate light
Emotional changes:
- Release inexplicable grief
- Release the unconscious burden of shame
- Feel deep peace around a previously inflamed issue
Physical changes:
- Suddenly stop smoking or cease other addictions/behaviours
- Distance or disconnect yourself from toxic family members
- Start talking to the brother you’ve hardly spoken to in 40 years
Nothing can be guaranteed—but if you succeed in bringing something unconscious to life, positive change must manifest. The key ingredients for change are:
- The issue is ready to shift (pressing for release through symptoms)
- You’re ready to do the work of release and re-integration
- I guide you how to work through the process as gracefully as possible
Preparation
No particular preparation is necessary.
You may have a particular issue you want to work with, or we can work with whatever is presenting itself most urgently.
The biggest issue is that you must come prepared to change who you are—and to take responsibility for whatever that entails. The universe will test you on your commitment to change. Dilettantism, irresponsibility, bypassing, or wanting someone—whether God or me—to wave a magic wand will result in disappointment.
Please pay the invoice prior to the session.
After a session
Try to allow some time for reflection and processing immediately after a session, rather than rushing into busy (especially mentally busy) tasks. Feelings of grief, rage, or pain may surface after the session or overnight.
Allow extra time to rest and drink plenty of water.
Journalling after a session is recommended.
If possible, get into nature.
Prices
- 15 minutes — Free discovery call
- 30 minutes — £47.00
- 45 minutes — £70.50
- 60 minutes — £94.00
Generally, 45 minutes is the natural length for a session.
A block of 5 x 45 minute sessions costs £277.50 (£55.50 per session, 20% discount).
If a trauma has broken into the open and needs to be contained and processed rapidly, I recommend one session per week. For a surfacing trauma or other less immediate issues, one session per month or ad hoc sessions may be more suitable. I recommend one or two ad hoc sessions before making a block booking.
