In the 3D world, we make things happen through force of will. We get out there and hustle in the commercial world. We browbeat our families into behaving in even vaguely sane ways. We harangue our children into studying for exams or doing the dishes. Push, shove, haggle; it’s exhausting for everyone. It’s also no coincidence that 3D society is fundamentally unhealthy.

The 5D world is diametrically opposite. While 3D is a centrifugal world—force radiates outwards from us—in 5D it is centripetal. Instead of trying to impose ourselves on our environment, we wait quietly at the centre of our own world and attract into our lives what resonates with us.

Trust is central to this ability to attract. It means trusting that every moment in our lives is unfolding appropriately—which means fully accepting each moment just as it is. If we have an experience that doesn’t pan out the way we hoped, we’re still clinging to 3D concepts of ‘making things happen’.

The 5D engine

It is no exaggeration to say that trust is the ‘engine’ of 5D. As long as we cling to outcomes, the centripetal 5D creative principle stalls, like an engine filled with petrol but lacking the air to fire with the fuel.

It is no exaggeration to say that trust is the ‘engine’ of 5D. As long as we cling to outcomes, the centripetal 5D creative principle stalls, like an engine filled with petrol but lacking the air to fire with the fuel.

Trust seems like an easy discipline to adopt. You just… well, trust. In reality we all unconsciously mistrust each other in our dog-eat-dog world. We don’t trust our bosses, business partners or leaders. We don’t trust our children. We don’t even trust our significant others—who would read their partners’ emails if they left their PC unattended and their inbox open?

This lack of trust is not an individual affliction. We all suffer from it, and there’s a specific reason for that. Loss of trust is humanity’s collective core wound. The 3D patriarchal world emerged some 6,000 years ago due to climate change causing competition for food sources. This broke humanity’s trust in both nature and each other (see Patriarchy destroys our capacity to trust).

Everyone born into a patriarchal society still carries the trauma of that original breach of trust. Healing that breach is part of the journey into 5D and it’s quite a painful place to reach.

Joy

Yet the reward is great, for trust is the gateway to joy. Once we release our deep-seated mistrust, we can relax into each moment with complete trust that whatever is unfolding is perfectly appropriate for all involved. And once we let ourselves completely trust each moment, joy suddenly wells in our hearts—for the simple reason there is nothing scary to get in its way.

5D living is truly simple. There is none of the hustle and bustle, the anxieties and the compromises, the victories and defeats of 3D. Each moment is perfect just as it is. We allow it to unfold with complete trust, with a child’s sense of wonder and a quiet joy at the beauty of it all.

How much do you trust? Any time you’re anxious about an outcome, you’re not trusting. Start trusting. Fire up your 5D ‘engine’ to its maximum potential. Once you feel the joy, you’ll know you’re there.
