A little while ago I saw a thread on a Facebook group that posed exactly this question. Various answers were vehemently proposed and it all degenerated into a shouting match. Someone got banned from the group for reasons that weren’t at all clear (to me, at least). It was all very unenlightening.

For anyone unfamiliar with the term, a false lightworker (or, if you really want some nuance, a faux lightworker) is a person who pretends to be conscious and interested in everyone’s spiritual development but turns out to be an energy leech who promotes chaos, rage and pain.

So, do false lightworkers exist?

Polarity

The answer lies in the word ‘false’. False is a heavily polarised word, the opposite of true. Its bedfellows are other extreme polarities, such as good/evil, good/bad, love/hate, real/fake, honesty/dishonesty and truth-telling/lies.

As soon as we are dealing with polarity, we know we are dealing with a 3D construct. This provides the final piece of our puzzle. Whether false lightworkers exist is a matter of perspective. They exist in 3D, where polarity is the basis of psychological programming. They don’t exist in 5D, where the basis is unity. (If that’s unclear, please read my post What are 3D and 5D anyway?)

Whether false lightworkers exist is a matter of perspective. They exist in 3D, where polarity is the basis of psychological programming. They don’t exist in 5D, where the basis is unity.

So, what do you do if you are plagued by false lightworkers? The first thing is to recognise this as an unmistakeable sign that at least some of your programming is still running in 3D mode. This is probably not the realisation you wanted but the sooner you accept it, the sooner you will move on.

Law of Attraction

You, like everyone else, are governed by the Law of Attraction. If someone shows up in your life it’s because there’s some kind of resonance between you. A person who is largely running on 5D programming does not resonate with someone clinging to 3D beliefs and behaviours. It’s that simple.

And, of course, these false lightworkers aren’t deliberately nasty. They tend to be people who have just woken up (in the spiritual sense) and have concluded they are fully awakened. Their ego is still dominant and untamed. In my experience, when assessing our own level of spirituality it’s always best to err on the low side. We don’t know what we don’t know. The false lightworker believes they know it all and lashes out when this fantasy is challenged.

So bless this person, this so-called false lightworker. They have shown you that you still have work to do on your Ascension path. Furthermore, the ways in which you feel hurt by their actions tells you specifically what areas of your life you need to work on. Once you’ve understood that, get out your Ascension toolkit and make, as Shawn Colvin sings, ‘a few small repairs’.

If you consistently apply this process, over time you will find yourself gliding across the void of 4D into a space where energetic parasites and leeches cannot feed from you. Perhaps a false lightworker will turn out to be your biggest teacher—in which case they weren’t so false after all, were they?
